GREEN DEMONS & ROCKETS RUMBLE TO SCORELESS TIE

COLBURN'S LONE GOAL LIFTS WILDCATS PAST N-N FLYERS 1-0


Flyer’s Jessica Harvey (17) thwarts a second-half offensive push by the Gouverneur Wildcats, breaking up the play in her own end. The Wildcats' Erin Colburn (8) scored at the 11:10 mark of the first half unassisted. The single goal proved to be the only goal necessary for the Gouverneur 1-0 win.

Norwood Norfolk goalkeeper Theresa Gravelin comes up with a save on a looping long-range Canton shot.  Gravelin made 20 saves in protecting the shutout in a scoreless tie and a point for the Flyers in the Central Division standings.

Hermon-DeKalb’s Natasha Sayer (4) settles the ball down after stepping in front of Lisbon’s Rachel Bowdish (16) to intercept the pass. Sayer scored the games lone goal with 20 seconds left in the game after Lisbon goalie Bridget Teele bobbled the ball on a cross from Hermon-DeKalb’s Cortney Brabaw. MASSENA COMPLETES 14-0-0 SEASON BEATING N-N FLYERS


Massena's Samantha Ahlfeld buries the game's first goal, leading the Red Raiders in a 6-1 triumph over the Norwood-Norfolk Flyers on Saturday.  The win completed a 14-0-0 regular season for the Raiders and a first-place finish in the Central Division.

Norwood-Norfolk's Paige Harvey (1) plays tight defense and tips the ball off the foot of Massena's Samantha Ahlfeld (9).  Katie Behrens collected a hat trick and an assist, while Samantha Ahlfeld added a goal and three assists to led the Raiders.  Nicole Johnson and Paulina Behrens also netted a goal each.
 

HARRISVILLE CAPTURES WEST TITLE IN TIE WITH E-K COUGARS

POTSDAM LOCKS UP 2ND IN CENTRAL, BEATING O.F.A. 6-0

CANTON LADY BEARS OUTLAST PERSISTENT GOUVERNEUR 2-1


Gouverneur’s Jelisa Hartle(9) takes a shot and collides with Canton goalie. The ball rolled in the direction of the net, but the Wildcats were unable to capitalize on the open net before the ball was cleared by the Golden Bears.  Canton outlasted the persistent Wildcat attack to grab a 2-1 home victory on Friday.

Edwards-Knox Girls Soccer Head Coach Don Thompson stands with Miranda Typhair who scored her 34th and 35th goals of the year on Thursday to break the Edwards-Knox single-season record of 33 goals. Miranda also broke the school's previous career goals record of 99 by scoring the 99th and 100th goals of her career in a 3-0 win at Hermon-DeKalb. POTSDAM BOUNCES BACK TO EDGE MALONE HUSKIES 3-2


The Potsdam Sandstoners Kaila Maguire launched a shot just under the crossbar midway in the 2nd half that beats Malone goalie Abby Premo.  Maguire scored two 2nd-half goals to erase a 2-1 deficit and lift Potsdam (8-2) over the Franklin Academy Huskies 3-2 in Central Division action. Game Gallery

Seekign the equalizer late in the game, Malone's Kaitlin Sexton (2)  just missed wide of the goalpost on a shot toward an open net with the goalie down for Potsdam.  Brittany Marshall scored a pair of goals to give the Huskies the lead in the middle of the game.  The Huskies fell to 6-3-1 in the division.

GOALIE DUHAIME SAVES 25 IN TUPPER'S 2-0 WIN OVER CANTON

McCormick comes right back to provide an assist on the Eagles third goal.  While the teams played even at 3-3 in the second half, Edwards-Knox jumped out to a 4-0 lead in before intermission.  Camrie Dandrow powered four goals and delivered an assist to lead the Cougars.  Kate Donovan scored twice for the Eagles.

In the consolation, Plattsburgh beat the Jackets 7-1.  Jenn Curley scored the Jackets' first goal of the season.
