Section VII-X Boys Swimming
Championships at Canton
For AuSable Valley, Shawn Paul Hansen won the 100- and
200-yard freestyle events. Alex Perras set a new section VII
record in the 50 yard freestyle, logging a time of 21.46
seconds. Deshawn Stone won the 100-yard butterfly. For
Gouverneur, Wyatt Slate struck gold in the 200 individual
medley and the 100-yard breaststroke, while Chase Tuttle
captured the 100-yard backstroke. For Canton, Jackson Dinan
won the grueling 500-yard freestyle. In the relays, AuSable
won the 200-medley relay and 200 freestyle, while Gouverneur
won the 400 freestyle relay. Gouverneur won the Section X
title, while AuSable Valley won the meet and the Section VII
championship.

Start of the 50-yard freestyle.
For the Wildcats, Chase Tuttle won the
200-yard freestyle and the grueling
500-yard freestyle over Canton's Dallin
Simpson. Wyatt Slate captured the 200
individual medley and 100 breaststroke.
Carter Lumley took first in the 50 and
the 100-yard freestyle events. And
Robert Kulp finished first in the
100-yard backstroke. For Canton, Jackson
Binan won the 100-yard butterfly.
Gouverneur captured all three relay
events. Final score: Gouverneur 88,
