2025 champoionship bouts

At 101 lb, Gouverneur's Connor Sleeman pinned Malone's Ethan Botto at 1:27.  At 108, Gouverneur's Tuffy Griffith defeated Gouverneurs Gavin Tulley 20-2.  At 116, Malone's Daniel Boileau pinned the Wildcats’ Trent Richards with 4.4 seconds left.  At 124, Malone's Liam Harte beat Cantons Austin Gregori 19-4.  In the 131 weight class, Canton's Cole Clifford defeated Malone's Tanner King 12-4.  At 138, the Wildcats’ Ryan Mashaw defeated the Bears’ Conner Clifford 18-2.  The 145 winner, Gouverneur's Cyler Baer defeated Canton's John Gidney at 0:49.  At 152, Gouverneur’s JD Minckler edged teammate Hayden Stowell 3-0.. At 160, Gouverneur's Paul Mincker defeated O.F.A.’s Joseph Green 18-4. At 170, Graham Rozler edged Gouverneur’s Turner Sochia in the final 10 seconds. 13-10.  The 190-pound winner, Ogdensburg's Cayne Trimm defeated Malone's Jerry LaPage with 1.3 left in the second period.  At 215, Canton's Lyndon Weng pinned OFA’s Larry Young at 58 seconds.  Ogdensburg's Connor Young was the uncontested champion at 285 lb.

FINAL TWO BOUTS LIFT BEARS OVER BLUE DEVILS 38-22

 In the 152-pound weight class, OFA's Astryn Grenier defeated Canton's Konnor Forbes 13-1.
 

At 138, Canton's Connor Clifford outscored Ogdensburg's Ashtyn Amo 8-5. At 145, Canton's Cole Clifford beat Ogdensburg's Ainsleigh Amo 17-1. In the 152-pound weight class, OFA's Astryn Grenier defeated Canton's Konnor Forbes 13-1. At 160, Ogdensburg's Joey Green pinned Canton's John Gidney at 1:40. At 170, Canton's Graham Rozler pinned Ogdensburg's Lyshan Young at 55 seconds. At 190 pounds, Canton's Romanus Page overturned a 10-2 deficit and pinned OFA's Cayne Trimm, in a pivotal bout, giving Canton a 32-22 lead. And at 215 lb, the Bears' Jackson Ames finished the win by pinning the Blue Devils' Matt Seeley at 48 seconds.  At 285 pounds, Canton's Ethan Shelly took the win on injury to Ogdensburg's Connor Young. Canton beat Ogdensburg 38-22.

At 131 - Canton’s Cole Clifford defeats Gouverneur’s Mason Dusharm 15-0. At 138 - Gouverneur’s Ryan Mashaw pins Conner Clifford with 11 seconds left in the first round. At 145- Gouverneur’s JD Minckler pins Konnor Forbes with 53 seconds left in the first round. At 152- Gouverneur’s Cyler Baer pins Joel Allen with 57 seconds remaining in the first round. At 160 - the Wildcats’ Hayden Stowell pins Magnus Carr with in the first round. At 170- Canton’s Graham Rozler pins Paul Minckler with 10 seconds remaining in the bout. At 190 - Canton’s Romanus Pace pins Axel Gates in the first round. At 215 - Canton’s Ethan Shelly pins Tucker Nichols with 35 seconds left in the match. At 285 - Canton’s Lyndon Weng pins Sully Simmons in the first round. The Wildcats defeated the Golden Bears 48-29.

MALONE STAYS UNDEFEATED, OUTLASTING CANTON 42-31

 At 101 pounds, Malone's Ethan Botto pinned Tristan Emby at the one minute mark of the second period. At 124, the Huskies' Liam Harte pinned Austin Gregori at one minute into the match. At 131 pounds, Canton's Cole Clifford outscored Malone's Tanner King 5-1. Moving to 138 lb, the Bears' Conner Clifford pulled away from a 6-6 tie to beat Eric LaPage 19-8. At 145 lb, Malone's Joran Spinner pinned Konnor Forbes with six seconds left in the second period. In the 152 lb class, Magnus Carr pinned Jack Johnson with 38 seconds left in the middle period. At 160, the Huskies' Mason Perrea pinned Joel Allen with 38 seconds left in the second period. At 170, Malone's Jerry LaPage finished off Aiden Bartholomew in 14 seconds. At 190 lb, Canton's Graham Rozler won by pinfall over Calvin Landry in just under 4 minutes. And at 215 lbs., Canton's Jackson Ames defeated Carson Head in just under 3 minutes.  Final score: Malone 42, Canton 31.

With several Massena wrestlers illness plagued and/or ineligible, there were only four contested varsity bouts.  At 160 pounds, Massena's Rawennakaien Silver pinned Joel Allen with one second remaining in the second period.  At 170 lbs., Canton's Graham Rozler pinned Massena's Cameron Wolcott at the first-period buzzer.  In the 215 pound class, Canton's Ethan Shelly pinned Massena's Riley Patnode at 1:15.  And at 160, Canton's Magnus Carr pinned Massena's Ethan LaValley at 36 seconds.
