Norwood-Norfolk and Malone runners are neck-and-neck in one of six running events in the first track meet of the season.  In the defense of last year's title, Potsdam finished first with 112½ points, followed by Indian River at 97, Norwood-Norfolk 94½, Canton 63 and Gouverneur 59, rounding out the top five.

In Week 1, Potsdam and Norwood-Norfolk captured most of the firsts. For Potsdam, Ella Baker sprinted first in the 60-meter dash. Teammate Jilliana Sullivan finished first in the 300 meters. Emmie Steinrotter topped the 600 meters, and Johnny Andrews-Perry captured the 1000. For Norwood-Norfolk, Addison Snell took the 1500, while Madison Carista won the 3000 meters. Autumn Musak won the 60 meter hurdles. Sydney Charles bested the shot put. For Gouverneur, Audrey Gaines won the high jump. Indian River’s Mary Solar owned the triple jump. In the relays, Potsdam took the 800 and 1600, while Canton won the 3200.
